The rapid growth of Dealroom.co requires a diligent and hungry Strategic Partner Manager to strengthen our Ecosystems team in delivering, driving and expanding the success of startup Ecosystems Solutions Globally. 


Our Ecosystem Solutions help provide the data foundations for startup ecosystem acceleration, through a Dealroom-powered database, focused on specific cities, regions, countries, or sectors. The startup databases map all important stakeholders in a startup community, from disruptive tech companies and VC investors to corporates, accelerators, and support organisations. We deliver a white-labeled segment of the Dealroom database, styled to match any brand. The databases provide access to investment-grade data, raise visibility for local tech innovation, act as an important prospecting tool for investors, startups, and corporates, and inform policymakers with reliable intelligence and real-time insights.


The Strategic Partner Manager will be building relationships within a portfolio of clients, containing a variety of governments and leading tech-hubs across the globe. Your responsibilities range from onboarding clients and supporting them in best utilizing our solution, to deepening relationships with existing customers and increasing the value they get from the product and our data. You’ll need to use your commercial experience to handle contract renewals, as well as up-, cross-, and deep selling. A real understanding of our customer’s goals and needs is required to help serve customers as an equal counterpart. Some experience with APIs and integrations allows you to effectively respond to customer questions and requests. An understanding of CSM metrics and KPIs, and the use of NPS and CSM-automation, allows you to track and improve the client's health status, finding a good balance between anticipation and quick response.


A successful candidate will be a self-starter, with great energy, team player mentality, and who thrives in a fast-changing International startup environment. You have the ability to connect at different levels of the organization, both internally and externally.

Job Description

The Strategic Partner Manager will:

  • Manage a portfolio of international (ecosystems) clients
  • Onboard new customers by guiding them through the kickoff process and ensuring proper implementation
  • Build and maintain customer relationships at different levels of the organization. Ensure customer satisfaction and retention through active listening and able to process feedback
  • Renew and expand contracts, by actively monitoring the clients’ needs, identifying opportunities and acting accordingly
  • Coordinate ecosystem launch projects, liaising between various stakeholders internally and externally
  • Stay up to date with local ecosystem developments and proactively share these internally
  • Act as the go-to-person for ad-hoc requests, improvement tickets, and request from our partners
  • Offer proactive and innovative content opportunities to our ecosystem clients to help them rise awareness and grow traffic
  • Engage with the ecosystem community and drive the usage for founders, entrepreneurs, accelerators but also local VCs and corporates
  • Identify relevant new projects and growth opportunities
  • Be the connecting element between all internal departments to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and further development of the product



Job requirements

Who you are / Background

  • At least 3 years of prior account management, customer success, consulting experience, preferably within enterprise software, B2G, or data science
  • Masters' Degree in business, communications, finance, marketing, economics, or another relevant field
  • Strong customer service experience and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and management
  • Ease in speaking to stakeholders at all levels and various departments: from business executives to data scientists, analysts and IT
  • Proven record of going above and beyond to satisfy the customers needs.
  • You are rigorous, detail oriented, comfortable with numbers and have strong analysis abilities & relational skills
  • A constant internal & self-imposed commitment to exceed goals
  • You know how to deal with priorities and you keep the overview in busy situations
  • Comfortable with working in a multicultural, remote, and fast-growing startup environment
  • Proficiently with basic computer programs, such as Microsoft Office suite, Hubspot
  • EU citizenship or already in the possession of a Dutch working permit
  • Fluent in English
