Tech startups can sprout anywhere, but their growth potential is tied to the richness of their home turf. After all, without access to the right knowledge, talent, and funding, even promising startups run out of steam. This makes a thriving ecosystem a cornerstone of success. And in turn, host environments - governments and the businesses and people they represent – benefit from every startup’s success. While Dealroom may be best known for gathering, enriching, and presenting startup data – e.g., to help venture capital firms spot the next Spotify tree in the startup forest – fostering tech ecosystems is vital to our mission. So we continually chart ecosystems for governments and public-private agencies that are as committed to startup success as we are. We hope to help them achieve our shared ambition by providing relevant data and insights, and by bolstering ecosystem visibility. Are you ready to map startup ecosystems for governments all over the globe? 
 

As our Sales Development Representative (Governments), you’ll 

  • Team up with your colleagues in Sales, Product, Data and Research and engage leads from platform signups, trial requests, and content downloads (warm leads incoming!) 

  • Map startup ecosystems for governments, and public-private agencies committed to accelerating and fostering the growth of their local ecosystems

  • Accelerate the adoption of our Ecosystem Solution by identifying promising leads in cooperation with our Account Executives, aimed at local and national governments worldwide 

  • Talk to our Product & Data teams and Intelligence Unit to provide high-quality responses to platform-related inquiries 

  • Be our product expert for our platform users. Don’t worry, we’ll teach you all there is to know 

  • Be creative! Focus on SDR-projects like outbound campaigns and other initiative

You’ll join the Dealroom crew that nurtures worldwide startup innovation ecosystems! We are scaling frantically, so this role is the perfect launchpad for your further career - evolve in tandem with Dealroom! You accelerate the adoption of our Ecosystem Solution by identifying leads with local and national governments. A ‘win-win proposition to the nth degree’ because each customer you onboard benefits from these ecosystems and, in turn, strengthens that community. While we started in Europe, and currently cover most major Tech Hubs, our expansion in the US just began and many counterparts are still unaware of our proposition. Fertile grounds ready for harvest!  

Job requirements

  • You combine a Bachelor’s degree or higher with 1-3 years of working experience in a similar role. Needless to say, any B2G-experience is a big plus

  • You share our passion for tech, startups and – most importantly- thriving tech ecosystem

  • You feel right at home in a multicultural, remote, and fast-growing startup environment

  • Your negotiation and communication skills could make you president one day. It’s just that you like sales a lot ;-)

  • You’re looking for a position that will enable you to make some serious steps up the vertical ladder within Dealroom (think big!)

  • Nobody needs to hold your hand, you got this

  • We’re not afraid of working remotely, but the doors of our Amsterdam office are wide open. And don’t forget our quarterly conferences and retreats!
