The rapid growth of Dealroom.co requires a keen, curious, and ambitious business development intern, acting as the first point of contact for business development and expansion opportunities.
By reviewing, scouting, and qualifying new business opportunities, you’ll help the team drive new sales and reach our targets. This role is highly visible, with a great impact, and will act as a launchpad for further career growth, allowing you to expand along with the growth of the company.
Your main objective is to help the team develop and expand Dealroom’s core products, by identifying and developing worthy sales leads across different channels. You should be genuinely interested in the startup & scaleup environment and ready to work closely with colleagues in Marketing, Sales & Intelligence Unit to improve and utilize our content assets.

The Business Development Intern will:
Contribute to the development of the sales processes, including CRM management and lead generation
Research and prospect into targeted accounts, markets, and segments searching for key points of contact
Route online chat, trial-request, and helping sign-ups find the data & insights they’re looking for
Support the account managers with client retentions and follow-up action plans
Work closely with marketing, content, and sales colleagues to maximize the effectiveness of content and sales-collateral
Operate workflows, trial-flows, and standard automation within Hubspot
Provide your peers and management with relevant insights through Hubspot’s reporting capabilities
Engage with prospects and route the applicable leads within the sales team
Who you are & Your background
Currently enrolled in the last year of undergraduate or graduate-level studies in a European college/university with a declared major in Business Administration, Economics, or similar field of study
Master negotiation and communication skills
Self-motivated, detailed, able to prioritize, proactive and ambitious
Strong sense of urgency, which translates into a high-volume results-driven output
Have a passion for technology, startups and venture capital markets
Comfortable with working in a multicultural, remote and fast-growing startup work environment
Experience in at least one Venture Capital, Government or Commercial internship role is a big plus
Fluent in English. Any additional European language is a great advantage
EU citizenship or already in the possession of a Dutch working permit
Available to start immediately for a 6 months internship
